Overview

MEDIC FIRST AID BasicPlus is a combined adult CPR, AED, and first aid training program run over a full day, it is designed specifically for the occupational first aid provider. This extremely flexible program will help employers meet OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work.

Outcome

Qualification Overview

The objective of this qualification is to support learners to become emergency first aiders in the workplace. The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the first aider, how to assess an incident. The qualification also covers first aid skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), safe use of an AED and assisting a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and hypovolemic shock, also how to provide first aid for minor injuries.
