Assessment centres

Each assessment centre is designed to meet your specific requirements whilst ensuring that the assessment process is highly accurate, stable and job relevant. Reporting is based on observed, measured behaviour; objective evidence is provided rather than subjective, inferred judgement.

There is no such thing as a ‘standard’ centre – some can last as little as half a day, while others can go on for three days or more. They can be individual or group-based. Thorough consultation with the client is conducted well in advance of the centre so that we are all clear about the required end result.

  • Are geared towards filling a job vacancy

  • Have fewer assessors and more participants 
  • Can involve line managers as assessors 
  • Have less emphasis placed on self-assessment 
  • Focus on what the candidate can do now 
  • Are geared to meet the needs of the organisation 
  • Assign the role of judge to assessors 
  • Place emphasis on selection with little or no developmental feedback and follow up 
  • Involve the organisation having control over the information obtained 
  • Have very little pre-centre briefing 
  • Tend to be used with external candidates
