Introduction to oil and gas

Overview

We do not always understand the nature of the industry that we work in. Many people are employed in the oil and gas sector without having had any exposure to the more technical elements of the industry – at a micro and macro level. This two-day course is designed for non-technical staff who are new to the oil and gas industry. It provides an introductory overview of the world-wide and UAE industry, including the ADNOC Group of Companies.

  • Finding petroleum traps 
  • Exploration wells 
  • Drill sites and equipment 
  • Formation evaluation 
  • Getting oil and gas out of the ground 
  • Refining oil and gas 
  • The world business and economics of the industry, including OPEC
  • The UAE business and economics of the industry 
  • The ADNOC Group of Companies, including products 
  • Divisional functions within a typical ADNOC Group company
