Team assessment

Teams are critical to every company, regardless of industry or location. They exist for projects, executive management, quality action, frontline service delivery, research and development etc. and can be self-managed, virtual or management led. Given that most work of a company is produced through teams, investing in team assessment will provide powerful objective input into performance and individual fit.

When to use team assessment

You may not have thought of formal team assessments until now. They are exceedingly effective at helping teams understand their strengths and challenges and how to more effectively work together. There are two primary assessment levels:

  1. Individual
Objectively identify personality preferences and how this relates to the strengths they can bring to a team. This is a powerful tool and if taken by all members of the team, helps identify gaps in delivering the activities required of a successful team, which can be addressed through development.
  2. Team
Obtain input from those around the team to objectively identify the strengths and weaknesses of the overall team performance.

Benefits

  • Clarity of role preferences
  • Greater cohesion across the team
  • Clearer communication and purpose within the team
  • Reduced conflict within the team
  • Increased productivity
  • Increased performance Higher levels of quality
